[DOHaD: Baby's Weight 1 - Low Birth Weight and Decreased Kidney Function] [1]

hello everyone!
My name is Pastan8.
It's the last day of 2023, but I'll start posting seriously from now on (lol)

[A baby's birth weight can indicate how difficult their life will be

It is believed that newborns weighing less than 2500g are susceptible to various diseases throughout their entire lives (DOHaD thinking).★The key to a healthy baby is the mother's health.

*DOHaD is a theory that states that growth from the fetal stage to early childhood affects health and susceptibility to disease in adulthood.Personally, I would like my child to be a complete health fanatic from the time of conception until the age of four!

Awareness: Women who are born with low birth weight have poor kidney function.

Personally, I would like to emphasizewomanThis is the case (as an example).

- Middle-aged women with low birth weight (1100-2300g) tend to have poor kidney function.
- People tend to have poor kidney function from childhood onwards.

This is what the paper suggests.
*Guys should take this seriously too.

Research content

Study subjects: Healthy men and women, aged 41-52.

For women
I was born with low birth weight (LBW):
GFR was 90±12 mL/min/1.73/m2
Liver volume was 258±48 ml
lower than women born at normal weight.

If you were normal birth weight (NBW):
GFR was 101±14 mL/min/1.73/m2
Liver volume was 302 ± 51 ml.

The lower the GFR (glomerular filtration rate), the lower the kidney function.
*GFR between 60 and 89 mL/min/1.73/m2 is generally diagnosed as "normal or mildly decreased."
One of the functions of the kidneys is to excrete waste products from the body as urine.Sewage treatment power!).
Declining kidney function is a critical damage in life!

What I want to say

Low birth weight tends to contribute to differences in kidney function in women.
Although this is one of the negative effects of low birth weight, I would like everyone to take it seriously.
I would like everyone, not just those who are planning to give birth, to think about this as if it were their own problem.

Because we only have one life.

By the way, there is a paper that suggests that a mother's BMI before pregnancy (less than 18.5) affects the risk of low birth weight of the newborn.
I would like to post again someday.

*This is just a trend.
Please don't be pessimistic just because your child is underweight.
Knowing is the start.

bonus

The year 2024 is just around the corner.
I think it's fine for people who are doing well in life to stay that way.

Things aren't going well, relationships are difficult, and you don't know what you want to do in life...
If there are people who think this way, I would like to say, "The present is not everything."
There are rainy days in every life.
I am also trying my best to do the same.
I want you to know that you are not alone.

Let's get through 2024 together and survive.

I'm always cheering for everyone.

I'm always rooting for you all.
